Princess Zinia has finally arrived....after a 9 month long wait!!! And lo, was the wait worthwhile ?? You bet, YES!!
She's more than what we had expected and prayed for.... thanks a million to Almighty for giving us the most beautiful gift one can ever have!!
Well I'm talking about my baby girl Princess Zinia....born on 22nd April 2008.
We've named her Zinia, derived from Zinnia, meaning flower.
A bit about her name...Zinnia flower is a small token of nature with varied meaning underlying its bright colour surfaces. The large, showy flowers of various colours symbolize different human emotions, generally fond remembrance of loved ones. A magenta zinnia shows lasting affection for one’s beloved, while a bright scarlet zinnia is a sign of devotion. The white flower suggests goodness of heart and mind and a yellow zinnia personifies daily remembrance of a loved one. A bouquet of mixed zinnia shows concern and thoughts of absent friends, remembering fond moments and bygone days of happiness.
Deciding her name has been a difficult task....what with all our relatives having a choice of their own. Me and wifey had set down a criteria for all....
a) The name should not be typical and common.
b) It should suit her personality.
c) It should be modern yet a bit ethnic.
d) It should have alphabets from mine and wifey's names.
And so after much R&D we narrowed down upon "Zinia".
Our joys know no bounds. My best friend, my bundle of joy.... my sweetheart Zinia!!
